LPOA meeting 5-3-2010 [May 10, 2010]
Brief summary of meeting:
* Financial situation was reviewed. As the Association has not been in the position of assessing dues for the past four months, the balance is substantially reduced.
The 2010 dues notice has been prepared as well as a "Lakeside News" informing members of the 2010 officers and directors; a brief real estate update by Laurie Berman; a greenbelt community challenge grant update by Wolfgang Liebelt; and, a flyer discussing the board's interest in coordinating volunteers for beautifying projects (neighborhood clean up). The package is expected to be mailed the second week of May.
*There are a few apparently dead trees south of Winston along Junipero. D. Mason is to contact to city to determine if removing is warranted.
VOTE REQUIRED:
There was general agreement that the "Lakeside" red brick entries formerly described by Wolfgang Liebelt in the last meeting require more than volunteers to clean up. As indicated, the cost would be approximately $300 for the Lakeside red brick entry at Winston and Junipero. Upon clean up, volunteers could mor easily maintain.
PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR VOTE FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF $300 TO CLEAN UP THE LAKESIDE ENTRY AT WINSTON AND JUNIPERO SERRA.
* There was a lengthly discussion of coordinating volunteers for a Lakeside cleanup. It was agreed that the situation around Lakeside has become quite an eyesore. (greenbelt, sidewalks, etc). Madhu has agreed to prepare a flyer to include in the dues notice which is to be mailed second week of May. There will be further discussion at the June 7 meeting.
Meeting adjourned.
Next meeting June 7.
