- Park Merced - John, Seth and Julie
Park Merced managed went first. They told us something about the recent history of the property. It was purchased October 2005 by their employer. It is located on 115 acres and is made up of some 3200 units. Seth is heading up renovation including current projects for fencing, sidewalk improvements, repainting, etc. Currently the fencing project is stalled due to Caltrain concerns. The Park Merced residents are surprisingly only 25% students from SFSU. They are currently meeting with their neighbors and asking them what they would like to see happen with the property concerning expansion: transit, amenities, recreation space, housing, etc.
The LPOA board brought up security - Park Merced have a curtsey patrol and are looking into other security concerns and solutions. They also brought to our attention a May 22nd community meeting which we posted notice of on this website. They also mentioned the new farmer's market which we posted on the website and in the newsletter.
Insurance: the LPOA owed the 2nd part of insurance for professional coverage to the tune of $2735. Thanks to Tom for paying this to maintain our coverage until he could be reimbursed from the LPOA funds.
Diane got quotes for insurance; $1000 per $1,000,000 of coverage - the quote was $1900 but that was 2 years ago. Diane was charged with getting in touch with original carrier and new carrier - this may save us $4k a year.
Newsletter - Martin promised to get this out by end of weekend which was done.
Greenbelt issues: Wolfgang is to be the point man for this. To replace the trees that were removed we will negotiate with the city about sharing some costs and we will volunteer $5000 to be taken from pillars fund if we have it.
Outstanding dies: Martin will send registered letters warning that we are about to place liens on properties - this should fulfill the LPOA's due diligence responsibility.
Lost dues: unfortunate 24 dues checks were lost when a deposit letter was lost in the mail. We have sent letter to postal inspector concerning this, as well as to the bank. These checks have been lost since February and so we are unlikely to recover them from the PO.
Mike Antonti has been invited to join the LPOA board and we hope that he will accept.
Chairman ship; as no one has stepped forward to replace him, Tom has generously conceded to remain chair for the time being.
The next meeting will be 4th June 2007

Excuse, that I can not participate now in discussion - there is no free time. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think on this question.
