As
many of you may have witnessed today, the renovation of Junipero Serra Playground
is at long last moving forward!

Here is a note from Meghan Tiernan, the Rec and Park project manager for JSP:

The building has been demolished and the Contractor will be to hauling
off the material over the next three days. This means there will be increased
truck traffic and associated noise during this period. On Wednesday, the Contractor
may begin concrete demolition which will also create some additional noise.
By the end of this week, the contractor will begin excavation for the building
footings and then start the formwork and the underground utility work next
week.
