1.   The meeting was called to order by acting chair Tom Novotny at 8:00 PM.
2.   The minutes of the December 12, 2006 session were approved. Correction offered that there are 9 Board members, not 7, and thus 4 vacancies.
3. Greenbelt controversy. Nothing new to offer, the Board will recommend that we put up a matching fund from the Contingency for Trees Account of $7500 to the City for replanting. We have sufficient funds, and this will be considered at the Membership meeting.
4. Reviewed proposed newsletter content. Possibility of changing LPOA to the Lakeside Community Association to invite renters and businesses, but it was pointed out there are no businesses in the area.
5. The idea of raising dues was discussed; this should be linked to services provided and explained. Last dues increase 48 to 57 in 2004. Diane will check with similar community groups to see about the rates and services.
6. Martin has graciously agreed to be the newsletter editor at $100 per quarter. He has also developed a website for LPOA, tentative titled LakesidePOA. Cost will be $7.00 for establishing and about $5.00 per month to maintain. Items will include newsletter, CC and R, calendar, minutes, etc. He will scan in the CC and R.
7. Agenda for Membership meeting (March 4) will include three planned strategies for the upcoming year: Easements, Fundraising, Welcoming Committee.
8. Financial. Most low, with some returns now on the notice of past due membership fees coming in. Printing is higher due to contracting costs. This needs to be adjusted in 2007 budget to keep EPS sending out the newsletter. Martin will be updating recent billing so that liens can be filed. $80 will be the lien fee for outstanding dues.
9. 2007 Budget will be on next months Board agenda.
10. Tree pruning. Only three people have taken advantage of tree subsidy.
11. Easements. Tom will provide old records to Patti.
12. New: Board nominations. Need active recruitment.
13. West of Twin Peaks Association. Joyce and Patti will assume representation for LPOA. Central Council meets 4^th Mon of month.
14. Meeting adjourned at 9 PM. Next meeting February 12 at 557 Buckingham Way.
